The offline version of WebLex will soon be available for Ubuntu, Microsoft Windows and other GNU/Linux operating systems. Simply highlight words in any application for an instant translation.

Ubuntu

Lex is still undergoing heavy development, but the Ubuntu version can be downloaded by going to Applications/Accessories/Terminal and entering the following:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danbishop/lex
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install lex

Windows

A beta version is now available for Windows! You'll need Windows XP/Vista/7 for it to work though...

Download for Windows

This is an early beta and as yet does not have any notification system. Translations will appear in the Lex dictionary window, which can be accessed from the system tray. Words to be translated can either be entered in the search bar of the dictionary window, or copied to the clipboard using ctrl+c from any windows application.
